 Tie Classification
Relay Ties - Our very best used tie. Has the appearance of a new tie, with similar load bearing features. This excellent quality tie has: heavy creosote retention, a dark appearance, very solid sides and solid ends. Recommended for reuse in railway lines.
Landscape Relay Ties - These ties are in excellent condition and have similar characteristics to Relay Ties with slightly less creosote retention which gives them a less dark appearance than the Relay Tie. These ties have excellent load bearing features, very solid sides and solid ends. Also recommended for reuse in railway lines or for high-end Landscape projects.
Premium Ties - This is an excellent quality tie for landscaping uses with only moderate imperfections that compliment its natural and rustic beauty.
# 1 Retaining Wall Ties - A good quality tie for landscaping uses with some plate cutting and end splitting.
# 2 Landscape Ties - A fair quality tie for landscaping uses with plate cutting, end splitting and some dry rot permissible.
