| A complete turnout consists of a complete frog, complete switch, guard rail assemblies where required, and switch stand. When ordering, please specify whether switches or turnouts are required. A&K can furnish switches to meet any of your requirements. A.R.E.A. designed switches for heavy duty service or lighter A&K designs for intermittent and light duty service can be furnished with complete components for fast, efficient installation. |
Components of a Switch
A complete switch consists of a pair of switch points with a recommended number of rods, clips, slide plates and braces, and heel block assemblies. |

| To order complete switches or replacement parts, give your A&K Rail and Track Specialist the following specifications: |
1. Switch design
2. Length of switch points |
3. Weight and section of rail
4. Gauge of track |
5. Rail drilling at heel of switch
6. Type of clips |
