Wheel Stops/Bumping Posts

SF Cushion
The SF wheel stop utilizes the weight of the car itself to compensate for greater-than-normal speeds.
SG Rigid
The SG wheel stop is to be used for low speed stopping of rail cars. Speeds above 3 MPH are not recommended. When speeds greater than 3 MPH are expected use the SF Cushion wheel stop or consider a Bumping Post.
Bumping Posts
Bumping Posts are designed to stop unauthorized movement of a railroad car beyond the rail end. The bumping post, when installed properly at the track end, engages the coupler and draft gear of a moving car to transfer the force of impact to the ties, rail and ballast, bringing the car to a safe sure stop.
