New and Relay Ties
A&K is one of the largest suppliers of new and relay wood ties in the nation. Pressure creosoted cross ties can be supplied in any quantity to A.R.E.A. or any other specification. Standard gauge track ties are usually supplied 8'0" to 8'6" in length and either 7" x 8" or 7" x 9" in section. All wood ties are available with end irons to retard splitting, when specified. Switch Ties
Switch ties or turnout ties can be furnished to A.R.E.A. specifications when heavy duty track is needed in the various lengths shown in the chart below. The ties are usually supplied in 7" x 9" section.

Tie Plugs
A&K creosoted cedar tie plugs are available in 41/2" and 5" lengths. Tie plugs are used for filling holes in used cross ties where spikes have been removed.
Steel Ties

Steel ties are available for any rail section and track gauge. Steel ties are durable and are ideal for mining, tunnel construction, and industrial applications.
